THE CLIENT

A physics-first approach to pipeline integrity

Hyele Ltd., founded in Hong Kong in 2023, builds diagnostic technology for smart urban water pipeline systems. Its clients span urban water supply networks, sewage systems, and oil & gas operators, and its core method — a physics-powered approach using Time Reversal (TR) techniques — detects pipe defects with a precision conventional inspection can't match. The mission: catch the blockages, corrosion, and undetected failures that cause safety incidents and financial losses before they do damage.

The challenge: expertise that couldn't scale

Hyele's diagnostic method was sound, but the way it reached customers wasn't built to grow. Every test depended on an engineer physically present at the pipeline, running the analysis, and interpreting the results on the spot — which meant Hyele's own technical staff were the bottleneck on how many clients they could serve.

  • No centralized platform: testing was heavily manual, with no way to monitor tests remotely, trigger them from a different location, or access results and insights in real time.
  • A complex user experience: the underlying physics was advanced, but nothing about it was intuitive for an end client's own analysts, technicians, or engineers to use.
  • Scalability constraints: without a digital product, Hyele's service packages and capacity to serve multiple clients at once were capped by available staff.
  • Manual workflows: with no embedded workflows, every engagement meant field visits and reactive maintenance, which drove up cost and downtime for clients.

The solution: turning a lab technique into a live platform

WBC Digital Solutions worked with Hyele to rebuild their diagnostic method as a product: a centralized platform that any technician could run from a browser, with the physics running underneath rather than in front of the user.

01

User-friendly interface

A modern interface any analyst, technician, or engineer could use to run active and passive pipeline tests without visiting the field, monitor system health in real time, and generate reports in a click.

02

Advanced simulation workflows

A physics-based simulation layer models pipe behavior under different stress levels and flow conditions, predicting failure points and automating repeated testing routines instead of re-running them by hand.

03

Real-time monitoring dashboard

A live dashboard streams continuous data from the field, tracking pipeline status across multiple locations and alerting on anomalies — pressure drops, blockages, leaks — as they happen.

04

Flexible service models

The platform natively supports one-time condition assessments, long-term technology partnerships, and term-based monitoring packages, so Hyele can sell the way each client actually wants to buy.

The result: one platform, every industry Hyele serves

✓ Outcome

WBC scaled Hyele from a high-tech solution provider into an intuitive platform that supports infrastructure teams across water, sewage, and oil & gas in monitoring, diagnosing, and preventing failures in real time — without needing a Hyele engineer on site.
